Hey guys! Today I have a very exciting post on one of the new Palladio matte lipsticks! They were recently released on there website and they come in 9 different shades. I am honestly such a fan of matte lips for the fall time so I was so happy when I found out they have matte lipsticks now too! The color I will be showing you guys today is in the shade Red Carpet which I know this color is going to be a huge hit for the fall and winter time.
Red Carpet is a true rich red color. I do not own any red lipsticks that look this amazing. Is such so dark and almost vampy on the lips. It does have more of a purple under tone, so there is no hint of orange which I LOVE. One thing I noticed right away about this lipstick was how opaque it was. When I applied it on my lips it just glided on so easily and you didn't have to push down, or pack on the lipstick for good color pay off. Since this is a darker matte shade I would recommend applying a lip liner of some sort, or even lining your lips with the lipstick first because it can get a little crazy when applying if your not super careful. Also, normally matte lipsticks are pretty dry, but this one was had a lot of moisture and it didn't set on the fine lines on my lips which made me happy because I was so scared that it would set into the cracks but it didn't. And because it is so moisturizing, the lipstick its self is made with safflower oil which helps lock in that moisture.
And I must say, I am in love with the packaging. It's just a black matte packaging which I do prefer compared to the other lipsticks that are in the silver packaging. Black just makes everything look so classy and looks amazing in my acrylic organizers.
Overall I am very pleased with this lipstick and I hope to purchase more in the future because I am in love. I would highly recommend this shade for the fall and winter time. I think it would look good on any skin tone. You can purchase this lipstick as well as the other matte shades at http://www.palladiobeauty.com/ and they are only $7.00.
Hey everyone today I wanted to share with you one of my all time favorite products by NYX and they are the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils. I own about 4 or 5 shades so far and today I will be sharing with you Strawberry Milk and French Fries. Out of all the eye pencils I have tried from varies of different brands, the NYX ones are by far my favorite.
Strawberry Milk is considered a pearly pink and the color really does remind me of strawberry milk. I find this one to be a little bit more sheer compared to French Fries, so when I was applying it all over my lids I really had to pack it on.
French Fries is considered a pearly golden olive. I love this one because its very opaque and the color has a beautiful golden shimmer to it and its perfect for the fall time.
I like to wear these as a base or if I am really lazy I like to use them by themselves. If you are using them by themselves I would recommend a primer because they do tend to crease just a little, so if you do not want it to crease I would say add a primer and it will help last all day. You can purchase them anywhere that NYX is sold and they are either $5.00 or under $5.00 so they are super affordable. Let me know what your favorite shade is!
Hey loves, today I have a review on the Benefit Cosmetics Gimmie Brow. Which over the weekend I finally went and got my eyebrows done at my local Ulta and the Benefit Bar and it was the first time I have gotten my eyebrows waxed in over two years. You must all think I am crazy lol, But I was very excited to finally get it done and I was extremely happy with the results. Now after I got them done, I knew I needed to try some new brow products, so the product that I knew I had to get was the Gimmie Brow. I have heard so many amazing reviews regarding this product and with my eyebrows looking fresh and clean, I just had to pick it up.
I picked it up in the medium/dark shade since they only have two options to choose from, and since I have dark eyebrows I thought it would be perfect. Now I was a little skeptical on getting this because I wanted something where I didn't have to fill in my eyebrows everyday and wanted something that looked natural. And when I first applied this product I was blown away. The product its self is just a tinted brow gel and with the tiny wand it makes it extremely easy to brush through your hairs and to make them look natural. With just a few swipes I noticed results instantly and was very very happy. As you can see from the photos below, my eyebrows looked very thin before using this product, and then whats I applied it they looked so much thicker.
I love this product just for the fact that its so easy to use and it gives such amazing results. If you have not tried this yet or on the fence of getting it, this is something I highly recommend. I think it makes my eyebrows look so much nicer and you don't have to hardly use any effort so it makes getting ready in the mornings much easier.
You can purchase the Gimmie Brow product here for $22.00.
The first photo is before I apply the Gimmer Brow, and then the second photo is after I applied it.
Hey loves today I have a post on the new Essie Fall 2014 nail polish in Take It Outside. I just received this nail polish in the mail this morning and it didn't cost me a penny. I am a huge fan of Essie nail polishes but I am not a fan of the price. I don't even remember the last time I bought a Essie nail polish for full price. I usually get them on clearance, at T.J Maxx, or mostly Amazon. When I purchase them off Amazon I get free gift cards which I did a whole blog post on it which you can find here. So if you are wanting to branch out and get free nail polishes I would check out that post if I were you. It is very helpful.
Anyways, out of the whole fall 2014 collection this was the main color that caught my eye. Mainly because I do not have a color like this in my collection. Take It Outside is a very beautiful natural grey shade which I think looks super classy and such a great fall color. As for the formula, I liked it a lot compared to other Essie polishes I own. I used two coats in my photos, but I could have gone with just one coat because the color was very opaque. I can already tell that this will be my favorite color for the fall time.
Hey everyone today I have an exciting post on a new eyeshadow palette by Glamour Dolls. This is in the shade Off With His Head and I am seriously in love with this palette name. I also love how girly the packaging is on the palette.
This palette comes with 5 different colors. Starting with the lightest shade we have a very light pale pink, then we have a grey purple shade, below that is a deep purple, and then we have a darker grey purple and lastly a black. All of the shades have more of a matte finish, and there is no shimmer to this palette. Which is something I love because they shades are perfect for the fall and I generally don't use shimmery shades in the fall, so I know I will be pulling this palette out a lot.
Pigmentation wise I thought it was fairly pigmented. The lighter shades were a little hard to see on my skin tone since I am so light, but the darker shades were incredibly pigmented and looks lovely with my skin tone. Also the shadows were very buttery which makes it so nice to apply. My favorite shades of this palette would be both of the purples and the light grey color. I think it would make a wonderful purple smokey eye.
This palette is only $3.99 (which is a steal) and can be bought at http://glamourdollsmakeup.com/ .
Hey loves, today I have a quick little review on the new Yes To Coconut Naturally Smooth Lip Balm. I have never tried any products from Yes To Carrots, and when I found out they were coming out with a Yes To Coconut, I was so excited because I am a huge coconut lover. So far the only thing I have purchased from this collection was the lip balm. It has been so hard to find, but I ended up finding it last night at Target and it was on sale for $2.84 so of course I just had to get it.
Basically this balm features a triple threat of moisture. It is made up of aloe, coconut and shea butters which are all very moisturizing to the skin and lips. I found this balm to be one of the most moisturizing balms that I have ever tried in my life. It lasts for hours so you do not need to re apply every 10 minutes like a lot of balms. Also the scent is amazing because it smells just like coconuts. What could be better right? If you are a fan of coconut and want a really good balm, I highly recommend this one to you. You will not be disappointed. I also love the sleek packaging of the balm because it is much thinner compared to a regular chap stick.
Hey loves, today I have an exciting post on the all new Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette. I was so thrilled when it was announced that they were coming out with a second basics palette. I am in love with all of my naked palettes by Urban Decay so I knew I needed this one in my collection. A lot of people were very skeptical when this palette came out because they all thought it looked like the first basics palette. Though some of the colors may look the same, they are actually very different. This palette has more of a cooler tone verses the basics 1 which has more of a warmer tone.
This palette comes with 6 different shades. The first shade is Skimp which is considered a pale nude satin. when swatched it came off pretty yellow on my skin tone. Then we have Stark which is considered a nude pink matte. Then we have Frisk which is probably one of my favorites in this palette and its considered a warm gray matte which I do not have many shades of gray that are matte so I love it so much. Then we have Cover which is considered a muted red-brown matte. Then we have Primal which is another one of my favorites in this palette and its considered a muted brown matte. Then lastly we have Undone which is considered a deep smoky brown matte.
Pigmentation wise on this palette I thought it was great. I didn't have to pack on the colors in order to get a good color pay off. I do enjoy most of the shadows in this palette. The only one I am not really a huge fan of is Skimp. I feel like I have too many shades like that in my collection. Overall though, I am very pleased with the colors and after owning both Naked Basics 1 and 2, I do enjoy having both in my collection. Some say you don't need both, but it really depends on which colors you find better suit you since like I said this one does have more cooler tones.
Overall I would give this palette a A because the colors are so pigmented and have such a great texture. You can purchase this palette anywhere that sells Urban Decay & you can order online here. This palette does retail for $29.00.
Hey loves, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are enjoying your Sunday. Today I took a lot of time to take tons of swatches for you guys on a bunch of different newer products, so you will be seeing tons of swatches and stuff within this week. Today I am going to be doing a review on the Limited Edition Wet N Wild Palette in Melrose At Night. I got this about a 3 weeks ago and I was finally able to swatch it and play with it and I must say, I am in love with this baby. If you haven't been able to find the new palettes, I believe you can only get them at Walgreens. I could be wrong, but that is where I got mine and at the time they were 25% off which was a great deal.
Melrose At Night comes with 5 beautiful natural shades which is perfect for everyday looks. The browbone color is a beautiful taupe shade which looks matte. The base color is just a cream white with a hint of shimmer. Going down, we have the definer shade which is a very dark almost black shade but it does have a hint of purple in it and also has shimmer. Then we have the eyelid color which is a beautiful champaign taupe color, and lastly is the crease which was the most shimmery of the 5 and its just a light pink. All of the colors were very pigmented except for the crease. The crease shade was so hard to get color payoff. The texture of these were buttery, again except for the crease color.
Overall I would give this palette a A-. I would have given it a A but the crease color just wasn't that good at all. But for the rest of the colors, they were beautiful and had amazing color pay off. You also can't beat the price. Without the 25% off, it was only $3.99.
Hey loves, as you can see from the photo above I brought out the leaves! I am literally in love with adding leaves in my backgrounds when it comes to the fall time because I think it adds such a nice touch to the photos. Of course to start off with my fall photos, I had to review the Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Eyeshadow in Playa Del Pink. If you saw my last haul video on YouTube, you would have seen that I picked this up from Sephora. I've seen a couple other YouTubers mention this eyeshadow before, but there hasn't been a huge rave on. But I thought I would give it a try anyways since I've never tried anything by Josie Maran before.
Basically this eyeshadow has a liquid consistency which is made from coconut water. Which I have never heard of anything like this before, and since I am a huge fan of coconuts it was a win win. The coconut water helps hydrate your lids which is something I really did notice. It had a cooling sensation on your lids which I really liked. Also a little product does go such a long way. You only need to swipe just a little product onto your lids and your good to go. When using this, I do not add a primer. I simply use this as a all over the lid shade and it works out amazingly. It lasts for hours and just looks beautiful on the eyes.
Playa Del Pink is a shimmery light pink which I am in love with. It's a perfect everyday color and I have been wearing it like crazy the passed few weeks. Since I love it so much I really want to pick up all the other colors because they would all be perfect for the fall time.
Hey everyone, if you watched my last haul video on my YouTube channel, you would see that I picked up this baby from a CCO. Which I have never been to a CCO before, so when I got the chance to finally go, I told myself that I need to get at least one thing just because I won't be able to come back for a while. Please tell me I am not the only one who does the same thing? LOL.
Until Dawn came out in the Divine Night collection which was released last winter. I only ended up picking up two lipsticks when this collection came out, as well as a blush, so I really wanted to add another limited edition item to my collection. At the CCO they had a bunch of these in stock and I believed it was only about $17.00 which was about $4.00 less then when it came out. Of course I had to jump on it. It comes with a taupe/brown shade as well as a golden yellow/cream color. I thought this was going to be perfect for the fall time. When I swatched these I was not impressed with the pigmentation. And the shades were extremely shimmery. If I was going off of pigmentation I would give this duo a C. But since I love the shimmer I would give it a C+.
I think I will for sure pick up another one of MAC's mineralize eyeshadows, so if you have a duo you recommend
Hey loves, so since I have been on the fall train since my last post, I figured I would keep going with this amazing MAC lipstick. This is a shade I have been wanting for the longest time and now that it is closer to fall I just needed it in my life. This is in the shade Plumful. Now, I have always been afraid to wear darker colors, but as I get older I started to fine them really flattering on my pale skin tone. I have been wearing darker shades within the last few months just because I think they look amazing. I think I look better in darker shades then I do in like bright coral/hot pink shades. Please let me know if anyone else finds themselves being the same way!
Plumful is such a beautiful (plum color of course) and it has a lustre finish which looks amazing on the lips. It's that perfect lipstick if you are looking to add just a tad of color. It does come up very pigmented, but since it is a lustre finish it isn't opaque. To me this color just helps enhance my real lip color.
I can't believe I waited so long to get this lipstick, because it is so so beautiful!
Hey loves, I don't know about you, but with the weather changing finally I am so ready for the fall and winter time! I recently went to Walgreens and found the new Limited Edition Fall Collection by Wet N Wild. Sadly I didn't find the lipsticks, but I did find the nail polishes! So of course I had to pick up one of the colors.
So Berry On Trend is a matte shade, but I added a clear top coat instead because I love the look it gave with the top coat. It's a very beautiful berry color which is great for fall. Also the cap of the polish has a matte finish, so its not like the others that are from the original collection. Which I love it because it makes it very sleek. Wet N Wild nail polishes are so affordable and I love the brush because it makes it extremely easy when applying nail polish. For this nail polish I only needed to go in with two coats!
These nail polishes are only $1.99 and can be found here!
