Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick in Number 33

1/27/2015

Hi loves, today I have a quick post on one of the new Rimmel London Lipsticks by Kate Moss. They recently came out with some more lipsticks as part of the Kate Moss collection as well as some new mascaras and eye shadow pencils. If I am not mistaken, this shade was released in the UK, and I believe it was recently brought to the US as well as a few other shades, please correct me if I am wrong in the comments below ;D

This is the shade 33 which is a light pink lipstick with blue undertones. I love the creamy formula of these lipsticks. It did apply a little patchy in some areas, but it was extremely easy to even it out. They claim that this lipstick will last up to 8 hours, but like most drug store lipsticks, if you are not eating or drinking, it only remained on my lips for a few hours.

The only thing I am not too impressed with is that the lipsticks do not have a actual name. And I don't really consider the lipstick long lasting. You can find these lipsticks anywhere that Rimmel London products are found and they do range between $5-7, depending on where you are buying them from.

Maybelline The Brights Palette

1/18/2015

Hi loves, today I have a really REALLY exciting post on the all new Maybelline The Brights collection which I recently found at my local Target. Months and months ago I saw a post that Maybelline was going to be releasing this palette as well as The Smokes palette, which I still have not been able to find, but when I saw this in the display I was jumping for joy. I love the fact that Maybelline was the first drug store brand to bring out full on palettes (not including NYX & Sonia Kashuk).

The Brights palette features 12 shades.

Top Row:

  • A shimmery white color, which this shade was very chalky and I really had to apply many coats of this color in order to get color payoff.
  • A shimmery baby pink, which again I had to really pack on the color to get color payoff.
  • A taupe brown shade, this shade was actually pretty pigmented compared to a lot of the shades in this palette. I love taking this shade into my crease.
  • A shimmery light green, again did not have hardly any pigmentation and was also very chalky.
  • A super glittery gold, I was very bummed by this color because it looks so vibrant and beautiful in the pain but was more of like a sheer gold.
  • A deep magenta color which was one of the worse color pay off other then the dark purple. It applied really patchy.
Bottom Row:

  • A deep purple, which this color SUCKED. I don't mean to be so harsh but oh my goodness, it is so hard to work with. It's extremely patchy and the pigmentation is horrible.
  • A matte black shade, which again was horrible. It wasn't as bad as the purple but still very patchy.
  • A lighter cobalt blue shade, wasn't pigmented at all either.
  • A peachy champaign color, which this shade is my favorite from the whole entire palette. It makes a great all over the lid shade and it was very pigmented.
  • A baby blue color, which has pretty good pigmentation
  • A deep brick brown color, which was pigmented, and was easy to blend.
Overall I am not happy with this palette. The more I play with it, the more problems I have with blending and just getting the vibrant color pay off. A couple of the shades were good, but the others were a complete waste. I would honestly rate this palette a D+.

Maybelline Limited Edition Quad in Covetable Cobalt

1/06/2015

Hey everyone today I have a review on a limited edition quad by Maybelline in the shade Covetable Cobalt. This is my first time ever trying a Maybelline quad, but I have heard really good things about them, so I wanted to try one out. Plus I found this one on clearance for about $2.00 so I could not pass up on that amazing deal because these are normally around $6-9 depending on where you buy them from.

Covetable Cobalt has some amazing colors. I love the combination between the silvers and the blues. It comes with a matte white color which is great for the brow bone, a silver sparkle shade which I love for all over the lid, the most beautiful cobalt blue which I liked to apply this into the crease, and a darker shimmery blue which I love to use on the outter corner of my lid. I was impressed right away when I was swatching these because they are very buttery even though they are shimmery. The white shade did have a little fall out but as for the rest of them I had no problems.

Also the pigmentation was pretty good on all 4 shades. I honestly love this one so much and it is out of my comfort zone which I think is why I love it so much. I really need to pick up more because I fell in love with this one.

New Covergirl Colorlicious Lipstick in Honeyed Bloom

1/05/2015

Hey lovelies, today I have another post on one of the new Covergirl Colorlicious Lipsticks which are now available on Ulta.com. This one is part of the smooth nude part of the collection. Which I think might be my favorite. I am in love with my nudes!

Honeyed Bloom is just a beautiful pinky nude color. I think this color is very flattering with my skin tone because it does not wash me out like a lot of different nudes do. Just like the other lipstick it does have a very strong scent. I think this color is very beautiful, but it did apply patchy. I had to add about 3 layers on my lips for my lips to be completely covered. I wish it had better pigmentation because I am seriously in love with the color.

Overall I would have to give this one a B rating. I think I am still going to pick up a couple more colors to try out and hopefully those will be a little be more opaque.

These lipsticks are now available at many locations like Ulta.com, Walgreens, Target & Walmart.

TruSelf Organics Detoxifying Mask

1/01/2015

Hey everyone, today I have an exciting post on the TruSelf Organics Detoxifying Mask. I am always a sucker for trying out different facial products, and mask's are my favorite to try out.

The detoxifying mask helps cleanse your pores, and helps make your pores appear smaller. It is made of up a blend of natural clays. And it also helps restore your skin from acne (which is something my skin does suffer from), scars, discoloration and unevenness. I feel like this mask was made just for my skin which I love.

It does come in a powder form so all you need to do is take a little bit of the product and mix it with water and then apply it to your face. It will begin to harder onto your skin and I usually leave mine on for about 12 to 14 minutes. It honestly leaves my skin feeling so smooth and refreshed. I love that it isn't made up of parabens and doesn't have any artificial dyes or fragrance. It feels good to use a product that I know isn't harming my skin.

Another thing I love about this product is that it is pretty affordable compared to other brands. It does retail for $19.50, but if you use coupon code "loveyourskin15" you will receive 15% off your total purchase, and that code is good until 1/30/2015. I honestly cannot wait to try out other TruSelf Organics products because I am already in love with this facial mask.
